That’s the advice for OS X Mavericks as it would be for any big update to OS X, Windows, Linux, and now even iOS.īut with that disclaimer, OS X Mavericks is so far looking like an uncommonly smooth release. Technically it's a work laptop, I didn't buy the thing, so may have to get them to deal with it.The usual advice applies: if you’re thinking of rushing to update to a major new OS, and you’re a musician, take your time. Sometimes it will start charging through the hub and let me plug in a HDD, but it's very intermittent. I have restarted multiple times, ran diagnostics (no fault code ADP000) I have tried multiple leads, monitors, 2 different hubs. I did notice the other month it only seemed to charge via one of the computer's ports (one closest to the user), back one only seemed to pick up weak peripherals such as a USB penstick. The monitor plugs in via HDMI, other ports are either USB3 or 3.1 in USBa format, charging cable goes in the pass-thru USBc port. The hub was working fine last week, but yesterday I logged in and it wasn't picking up my monitor, power from the charger, either of my SSD or my USBa audio interface. I use a USB hub as it only has 2 USB-c ports and I need to use multiple SSD etc as I am a video editor. ![]() Hi I have a 2022 MBP, was running ventura but now running sonoma.
